a full-time job doesn't have to be the thing that stops you, it can be the thing that funds you. days are java, spark, and streaming pipelines. nights and weekends are python, claude code, and agents doing the founder busywork so a few real hours go a long way. i write down exactly how i carve out the time and what i build with it.
